Here’s a question that puzzles me. If one talented, passionate mom is able to create luxurious and effective baby care products with only safe ingredients… why aren’t the big manufacturers even willing to try?
The answer dances somewhere around the all important bottom line. But even though many parents don’t have the time or resources to educate themselves on endocrine disruptors and cancer-causing agents in soaps and lotions, it doesn’t mean they want to bathe their child in chemicals.
Nourish Organics began as one mother searched for a solution to her infant’s battle with food allergies and eczema. After much research, trial, and error, she found ingredients that helped her baby’s skin. With a background in esthetics, she began to create her own formulas with those ingredients.
The balms, washes, and oils she crafted brought relief to her son’s eczema, while leaving his skin moisturized. Her friends and family soon wanted these healing products for themselves, and Nourish Organics was born. Nourish grew so quickly the original owner needed help managing her bustling business. In October of 2011, after realizing she wanted more time to spend with her children, she passed the baton to Olivia Pennington, who was delighted to become the new mama behind Nourish.
Olivia shares, “The company started as Nourish Baby Organics and was targeted as a baby skin care line, but so many adults have fallen in love with the luxuriously gentle products, we dropped the ‘baby’ and invite people of all ages to use our products.”
