Here are the experts, activists, and leaders who helped make the Spring 2012 issue of Green Child Magazine possible.

Lynn Colwell and Corey Colwell-Lipson are the co-authors of Celebrate Green! Creating Eco-Savvy Holidays, Celebrations and Traditions for the Whole Family and founders of Green Halloween®. Via TV, radio, print and the web, they inspire families with affordable, fun, meaningful ideas for celebrating special events in ways that are good for people, planet and communities.

Tiffany Cassanova is an attorney, wife, and mom to two very busy boys – Tristin and Tyler. As a family, they have created an online resource, TristinandTyler.com, dedicated to providing appropriate, entertaining – and really fun – content parents can watch with their children. As a regular contributor to GCM, Tiffany shares fun, eco activities and videos children of all ages will enjoy.

Charise Rohm Nulsen is the proud mama of one, with another on the way. Charise blogs at I Thought I Knew Mama - a window into the adventures of stay at home mamahood, natural parenting, and green and healthy living. She is also a regular contributor at Natural Parents Network and a freelance writer who loves spending her days mothering and writing.

Jeremy G. Schneider, MFT is a syndicated columnist and therapist specializing in parenting and relationships, involved fatherhood, building strong modern families and overcoming depression. He also is an Assistant Vice-President for Technology and Online Communications for a non-profit in New York City. Jeremy lives in New York with his wife and twin son and daughter.

Amanda Hearn is the design superstar behind not only Green Child Magazine, but also Kaia – the magazine that gives green parents the “me time” they deserve. Amanda is also a mother of three and the voice behind the Eco Friendly Family blog, where she shares baby steps to green living tips for families.

Erin Naumowicz is a green activist and mother of two. Her online store Lullaby Organics is devoted entirely to educating and providing products and resources for parents to raise their children in a non-toxic environment. She also blogs at Green Kids Guide.

Flor Lozano-Byrne is the owner of Silly Creatures, an eco-conscious toy named for Best Toys of 2011 by Best Toys Guide. She’s also the mother of a second grader at Three Cedars Waldorf School. In her free time, she volunteers in the classroom and supports green causes.

Brenna Burke is a mama of three trying to live a green life, pursue greater health and well-being for her family and the planet, and teach her children well – all while always seeking the best tips, insight, and fun for those wanting to go a little greener. Dr. Nina L. Shapiro is the Director of Pediatric Otolaryngology and an Associate Professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She has received prestigious awards including; The American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology Charles Ferguson Award for Clinical Research and The American Academy of Pediatrics Young Investigators Award.

Hana Haatainen Caye, aka The Green Grandma, is a wife, mother, and grandmother who shares her passion for common sense green and healthy living. Based on the most popular feature of her blog, Hana’s book, Vinegar Fridays, was released last year.

Cerise Bouchard, CLC is the mother of two boys and owner of Mother Nurture, a breastfeeding and parenting support boutique in Lexington, Kentucky. Cerise serves as the first president of the Lactation Improvement Network of Kentucky. Her caring team of CLC’s and IBCLC’s provide warm, compassionate care for breastfeeding mothers.

Heather Valentine is the inspiration behind The Sewing Loft. Everything she creates is focused around Reclaiming, Recycling, and Recrafting. Each product line is created from a combination of eco felt, upcycled and repurposed fabrics, industry “scraps” and a few new fabrics for fun.

Abbie Walston was raised on her family’s 365-year-old farm in Connecticut, which has shaped her lifestyle, parenting, philosophy of education and environmental activism. In addition to advocating for local agriculture and natural parenting, Abbie is a high school science teacher, specializing in environmental science, botany and physics. Suzanne Bertani is a mother of four and the owner of Green Planet Parties, a delightful online source for stylish, eco-friendly party supplies. Her blog Mommy Footprint is dedicated to helping families live healthy, toxic-free lives.

Bethany Looi is a 16 year old high school student who has traveled to 14 countries and runs an online business at On Task VA.
