Warm Spiced Pears with Yogurt and Walnuts
There’s something about warm fruit desserts that feels both comforting and nourishing at the same time. These spiced pears are naturally sweet and taste like a cross between baked pears and pie filling without needing much added sugar.

This is the kind of recipe that works beautifully as a wholesome dessert, afternoon snack, or even a cozy breakfast on colder mornings. The warm spices bring out the sweetness of the pears while toasted walnuts add crunch and healthy fats for a more satisfying dish.
We especially love serving these warm over vanilla yogurt for an easy treat that feels elegant enough for guests but simple enough for a weeknight.
This simple, tasty pear recipe was created by Chef Jamie Lauren of Absinthe Brasserie and Bar in San Francisco. If you can’t find Bosc pears at your local grocery store, red or green Anjou pears will work just as well.
